Cleans Air Nature's Way

Peletex has developed a new paradigm in air filtration that mimics the way that nature cleans the air.

The AFA filter is the first foam-bed wet-scrubber that forms droplets inside the bubbles of the foam for high contaminant capture efficiency. Micro-atmospheres are created by encapsulating the air stream inside the bubbles of an aqueous froth. Condensing vapor forms droplets around liquid or solid contaminant particles, increasing the mass and aerodynamic diameter for easy removal. The liquid-to-gas interfacial area of the froth matrix is increased by the growing surface area of the droplets forming inside the bubbles, thereby maximizing inter-phase transport of water-soluble gases into solution.
